Golden Hour Maternity Photography in California
Carolina’s golden hour maternity session in Livermore, CA was a dream to capture! The location in Livermore is one of my absolute favorite spots to photograph. I was so excited when they were happy with its suggestion.
The entire session was drenched in sunlight! The soft, rolling hills created the perfect backdrop for the maternity session. The extra time we spent to grab that golden sunlight and to sneak into blue hour was well worth it! Working with different forms of natural light creates beautiful variety in your images.
Carolina was glowing! She is a beautiful mama both inside and out. Carolina and her daughter, Olivia, wore pieces from my client closet for the session. We kept in touch frequently to coordinate a wardrobe and color palette that would complement the location and bring Carolina’s vision to life. They looked amazing! Styling has an enormous impact on the quality of a session. I love helping my clients choose a timeless wardrobe they’ll love.
An Emotional Family Connection
The gentle, caring connection Carolina has with her family is moving. I am so excited for their newest addition to arrive! I’ll be capturing their in-home newborn session when their sweet little babe arrives. I already can’t wait to work with them again. Their family is so laid back and calm. They go with the flow, follow direction and eased into the session by just being themselves.
Their daughter Olivia warmed right up to the camera! She was all smiles throughout their session. This really surprised her parents. According to them, she doesn’t normally smile for photos like this! That’s always a great compliment for me. Olivia is adorable! She’s going to make one amazing big sister.
Fun fact – my mom tagged along with me for this maternity session in Livermore, CA! She was visiting from Brazil and wanted to join me. She walked a few trails while we there but turned into my assistant for the day. It’s a small world after all because Carolina’s family is also from Brazil! My mom felt right at home and we all connected beautifully.
