Candid Emotion Captured by A Bay Area Family Photographer in Hawaii
I had the best time capturing this free-spirited family session in Oahu, Hawaii! We shot at Lanai Lookout which has the most beautiful cliffs and rock formations by the ocean. After shooting at Lanai Lookout, we snagged some shots at Sandy Beach. This beautiful client, Anna, is a friend and fellow photographer. It was so fun to have her family in front of my camera. The session felt so relaxed and carefree!
For me, family sessions are all about connections and letting the session unfold naturally. This is especially important for the kiddos! There is no pressure to pose uncomfortably or sit still. Play and curiosity is always encouraged! It captures beautifully on camera and shows the true nature of your children.
Anna’s kids were so fascinated by the big waves. I loved capturing their awe and wonder of it all. Her little girl was so excited to be at the beach! She twirled and danced like a ballerina in the sand. It was beautiful! Anna’s husband brought his drone along to capture some behind the scenes footage. I’m so grateful to him for sharing! You can easily tell that they are a happy family. They were full of enthusiasm and fun! It made the session such a joy to capture.
